The European Federation of Geologists, in collaboration with the Société Géologique de France, has launched a second call for applications for travel grants to support French-speaking students attending LearnGeo 2026.

This call is open to Bachelor and Master’s students who wish to participate in LearnGeo 2026, taking place on 17 to 18 June 2026 in Pau, France.

The grants are sponsored by Sunrise Education the official industry-university- research internship base of China University of Geosciences (Beijing). Three participants will be selected, each receiving up to €330 to support travel and accommodation costs. Participation in the event itself is free of charge.

Beyond financial support, the programme offers an opportunity to engage with geoscience professionals and educators, gain insights into applied geoscience careers, and expand professional networks at the European level.

Applicants are required to submit a motivation letter, a CV, proof of student status, and an estimate of travel and accommodation costs.

The application deadline is 21 May 2026, with selected applicants to be notified on 1 June 2026.

Applications should be sent to events@eurogeologists.eu.
