EFGeoMentoring: Professional mentoring services for geoscientists

Mentoring has proved to be beneficial at all career stages. EFG has therefore extended its early career mentoring programme and now also offers mentoring services to mid-career and senior-level geoscience professionals.

The EFGeoMentoring scheme aims at increasing international networking and supporting the life-long learning goals of geoscience professionals at all career stages.

It allows mentees to benefit from insider knowledge about work perspectives in various geoscience sectors and countries.

The EFGeoMentoring scheme is running on a continuous basis, matching mentees and mentors upon demand. Participants collaborate over a fixed period of 9 months.

As a complementary service we aim at providing mentees with access to a database of professional coaches who may advise on specific aspects relating to their career planning.

To participate, please check the conditions for participation here below and submit your application!

Our aims:

  • Intensify international networking among geoscientists all across Europe and beyond
  • Provide geoscientists at all stages of their careers with contacts that can help them in their development
  • Increase support for geologists currently seeking employment and new opportunities
  • Improve gender balance and increase diversity in leadership positions by providing targeted support to women and under-represented minorities
  • Facilitate life-long learning and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Over a fixed period of 9 months, you will receive advice and targeted support from an experienced professional, according to your individual goals.
