Become a Full Member
Join EFG’s vibrant community of national associations to amplify the voice of geologists at the European level.
Our Full Members include National Professional Organisations, National Professional Registers or National Associations from Europe whose principal aims are to advance and promote the geology profession across all sectors.
Why become a Full member of the European Federation of Geologists (EFG)?
- Steer EFG: As a voting member of EFG, you may represent your Country at Council to amplify the voice of geologists. If your Country is already represented, you may be able to officially join the Council without voting rights. Your Association representatives may also be elected to the governing bodies of EFG.
- International Professional Accreditation: Your Association is entitled to establish a National Vetting Committee (NVC) or a National Licensed Body (NLB) for the award of the European Geologist professional title (EurGeol).
- Privileged access to EFG Academy: Benefit from discounted educational offers for your members and the possibility to deliver your association’s training offer through the EFG Academy platform.
- Influence Policies: Engage in our advocacy efforts in Brussels to shape European policies.
- Enhanced Visibility: Boost the visibility of your National Association on both national and international scales.
- Access Funding: Participate in EU-funded research projects to stay at the forefront of international research and finance a portion of your EFG membership fee.
- Member Benefits: Gain access to exclusive information and unlock special offers for events, training courses, mentoring, publications, and more for your members.
- Provide Expert Advice: Take part in working groups of the EU and other high-level institutions like the UNECE to offer expert advice.
- Networking: Connect and collaborate with fellow EFG members who share your sectoral interests.
What is the cost?
The annual membership fee depends on the size of your association and is calculated on an annual basis. On average, fees amount to 3000-5000 € per year.
We would be pleased to provide an estimate based on the number of members your association represents. We recommend you seek this estimate before you apply.
