The elections for the EFG Vice-President and Secretary General positions were held this month. This time, the National Associations delegates cast their votes electronically. The e-voting opened on 3 June and was kept until 17 June 2020.
Gabriele Ponzoni, from the Italian National Council of Geologists (CNG) was re-elected as EFG’s Secretary General.
Fort the Vice-President position, Iris Vuković, from the Serbian Geological Society, presented a candidacy and was elected unanimously by the delegates who participated in the electronic voting.
Iris graduated from the Faculty of Mining and Geology in Belgrade and has more than 20 years of professional experience in Geology. She has been an active member of the Serbian Geological Society for 15 years and led its Division of Petroleum Geology and Geophysics.
Her election means the end of the term of Vice-President Michael Neumann from the German Association of Professional Geologists (BDG).
