The Editorial Board of the European Geologist Journal (EGJ) invites submissions for the 62nd issue of the journal, to be published in December 2026.

As global demand for critical raw materials continues to grow, driven by decarbonisation, renewable energy deployment, and advanced manufacturing, geological expertise plays a central role in ensuring secure, sustainable, and responsible supply chains.

This upcoming issue will focus on the theme:
“Critical raw materials, science and legislative framework for sustainable development.”

The aim is to highlight the contribution of geology to the understanding, development, and governance of critical raw material resources, bringing together perspectives from across the geoscience community.

EGJ provides a platform that connects academia, industry, policymakers, and professional geologists, supporting knowledge exchange and collaboration across sectors. As a diamond open-access, peer-reviewed journal indexed by DOAJ, EGJ ensures wide visibility and accessibility of published work.

Authors are invited to submit a proposal including:

  • Name(s) of the author(s)
  • Working title of the article
  • A short abstract of approximately ten lines

Deadline for submission of proposals: 10 May 2026

Proposals should be sent to Pavlos Tyrologou (Editor-in-Chief) at pavlos.tyrologou@eurogeologists.eu, with a copy to the EFG Secretariat at journal@eurogeologists.eu.
