The European Federation of Geologists is proud to be a knowledge partner of the 10th MINEX Europe Mining & Exploration Forum, taking place 27–30 October 2026 at the Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim, Co. Meath, Ireland.
Held under the theme “Europe’s Mining: Investable, Sustainable, Essential,” the Forum confronts the questions Europe’s mining industry cannot avoid: whether the Critical Raw Materials Act can move projects from policy ambition to industrial reality, how mining and processing ventures are actually being financed, and why domestic projects still meet resistance even where policymakers agree critical raw materials are essential. The programme opens with two full-day CPD workshops on risk management and stakeholder communication, turns to Ireland as a detailed case study in resource strategy and regulation, and closes with a technical visit to Boliden’s Tara Mine, one of Europe’s largest zinc-lead operations.
Members of the EFG community receive a 15% discount on registration when registering before 15 October 2026. Register here.
EFG will be represented at the event by IGI delegate Pól Ó Seasnáin. Meet Pól at our booth in the exhibition area and listen to his talk “Beyond Dissemination: Designing Science for Decisions in Europe’s Critical Raw Materials Transition” scheduled on 28 October, 9:45, where he will present insights on stakeholder engagement and policy dialogue in EFG’s EU-funded projects CRM-geothermal and FIC-Fighters.
