The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) is pleased to support the 16th IAGOD Quadrennial Symposium, hosted by the International Association on the Genesis of Ore Deposits from August 30 to September 2, 2026, in Porto, Portugal. The symposium will be held at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) under the theme “The Role of Geoscience in the Energy Transition.”

The symposium will also feature an Early Career Geoscientists’ Programme, an initiative supported through activities sponsored by EFG and the Portuguese Association of Geologists (APG).
