Webinar: Carbon capture and storage and the SDGs

8th September 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

IEAGHG recently commissioned independent research organization TNO to undertake a study mapping carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies against some of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in order to assess how CCS can contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.

Join us to discover the key findings and the role CCS can play in helping to meet the 2030 Agenda.

The report highlights a number of positive interactions with the SDGs – such as helping to lower emissions in the power and industrial sectors, and enabling the provision of reliable, sustainable and modern energy. It also identifies some negative impacts – such as constraining energy efficiency targets and increasing lifecycle emissions.
