Outline of content:
This course has been designed to assign new skills or to allow the recycling of knowledge to all technicians involved in the Mining and Geological Resources Industry. This is an area of primary need for human beings, although it has been losing its social recognition, largely due to past errors committed in the recent decades, which large international companies are wanting to change. This is a sector that experiences a growing demand by Governments and by Society, requiring higher technical and human criteria, in accordance with evolved standards.

Objectives:
Upon completing this course, the trainee will have obtained qualifications to develop, coordinate and evaluate exploration projects, research, study and evaluation of geological resources, as well as qualifications regarding mine production support, from projects’ early stages to operating mines.
The trainee will gain knowledge that will allow him/her to have access to more relevant professional positions, by raising work standards, optimizing processes, reducing the field data processing time and ensuring an immediate use of the collected data.
It will open or strengthen training for geologists looking for International Professional Certification or Certified Geologists looking for continuing training (CPD).
The course is aimed at professionals and technicians working or intending to work in the mining industry and in the exploration of geological resources, professional geologists, engineer geologists, mining engineers, prospectors, among others professionals, who intend to improve and recycle their knowledge and strategies concerning the evaluation of geological resources, planning, management and control, within the standards required by the International Regulations of Resources and Reserves Reporting (PERC CRIRSCO, NI43-101, JORC), considering quality control programs (QA/QC) and basic models of Resources evaluation.
