Young Professionals will determine the future of our Society tomorrow. Today, they are already at the center of EFG‘s work. Their continuous development is what drives EFG in its many missions and accomplishments. Including this new exciting one: EFG has indeed officially partnered with Young Earth Scientists (YES) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 8 November 2017.
Together, EFG and YES commit to a close collaboration dedicated to the facilitation of career development of young geosciences professionals. From now on, they will promote each other’s activities, such as EFG’s European Geologist title and Code of ethics, as well as develop joint actions and events.
This new collaborative milestone for our Federation occurred symbolically on an equally as collaborative day: during the roundtable on the challenges associated with the exploitation and trade of raw materials co-organised by two of our projects, INTRAW and FORAM, as part of Raw Materials Week in Brussels. Not a coincidence. A real symbol.
