Webinar: Learn geology, fly with the European Federation of Geologists

The first EFG webinar was organised at the end of 2020. Carlos Garcia Royo, Vice-president of the Official Spanish Association of Professional Geologists, presented ‘Learn geology, fly with the European Federation of Geologists’.

EFG’s President Marko Komac welcomed participants and briefly presented the speaker. Carlos’ professional background makes him an ideal presenter for this webinar on geotourism and geoheritage. He is a geologist, but he has also worked as a pilot for more than 20 years.

He was the pilot on this geological flight from Madrid to North America and South America. He showed impressive aerial views on the way: the Pyrenees, the Alps, the Atlantic, the East Coast in North America, Long Island, the Mississippi Delta, the Amazon Basin, the Andes, Mauritania, the Atlas, etc. After a flight of 45 minutes, he flew back to Madrid.
