Postdoc and PhD position on Seismological interpretation of the North Atlantic region – Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences

Eurasia Institute of Earth Sciences (EIES) was established in 1997 with the aim of carrying research on Earth Science. The national and international reputation of the institute continues since then and it began teaching in 1998. 

These positions are open for working with Professor Hans Thybo in an internationally acclaimed team of scientists. The research focuses on structure of the lithosphere and upper mantle processes through application of geophysical methods. The working language is English.

The present project is related to the ScanArray project, which is carried out in collaboration between different universities.

Engineering Geologist (M/F) for G-tec 

G‐tec is a specialist in Onshore and Offshore geophysical and geotechnical site investigation. G‐tec is a fast‐ growing company with assignments which include geotechnical site investigation campaigns worldwide. G‐tec has become a reputed player in European offshore wind farm development.

Due to an increase in workloads within the Geotechnical Department. G‐tec is delighted to be recruiting experienced Engineering Geologists to join our Belgian offices and be part of a motivated and dynamic team of geologists and engineers working for predominantly offshore geotechnical site investigation projects within northern Europe.

Research associate within the field of natural hazards – Eurac Research

The Eurac Institute for Earth Observation develops methods, tools, products and services for the Alps and other
mountainous areas, addressing current problems of social-ecological systems in the context of global change.
One specific task is the development and implementation of risk and vulnerability assessments scrutinising the
potential impacts of natural hazards and climate change. As part of the research area ‘Mountains’ our institute
strives for improved assessments of the interactions of environment and society in mountain regions.
The candidate further develop our research line on natural hazards with a focus on monitoring and analysing
gravitational processes, particularly within the context of climate change. The candidate will take a senior
position within our institute including the supervision of junior staff as well as leading and acquiring projects.
