EFGeoBlog – EFG welcomes your contributions!

The EFGeoBlog welcomes guest posts from external contributors who would like to present recent research or professional developments in the field of geoscience. Posts may include reports from geoscience events, information on publications and relevant EU policy development. As one of EFG’s main missions is to create public awareness of the importance of geoscience for society, we are particularly interested in best practice reports about geoscience outreach initiatives.

Find all information on how to contribute in our guidelines. We look forward to receiving your contribution!

A couple of guidelines

Audience

The EFGeoBlog is aimed at a broad audience of geoscience professionals from different backgrounds. Therefore, please avoid any discipline-specific terminology or further define it where necessary.

Length

Your post should be between 500 and 1000 words long.

Images or videos

Blog posts which contain (audio-)visual material are more attractive to the reader. Therefore, please provide at least one illustration for your contribution. You may also send us links to relevant video material. Please provide captions and the author’s credit, together with the original source of publication if applicable. When images are not open access, please ensure to obtain permission from the author before publishing.

References

The citation style should be similar to the one used in the European Geologist Journal, as in the following example:

“Wang, D., Mathur, M., Powell, W., Godfrey, L., & Zheng, Y. 2019. Experimental Evidence for Fractionation of Tin Chlorides by Redox and Vapor Mechanisms. Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 250. 209-218. DOI: 10.1016/j.gca.2019.02.022

About you

We would be pleased to include your name, affiliation, short bio and a profile photo at the end of the article.
