EFG Academy: Resource Modelling using Leapfrog Geo

Delivery: 

The training will take place virtually from Monday to Thursday (16-19 September 2024), 9:30-14:00 CEST, for four consecutive days (15 instructional hours in total):

About the presenter, Ignacio Álvarez García-Rovés :

• Awarded mining engineer specialized in resource modelling with extensive international experience.
• Partnered with Seequent, Rio Tinto, and Barrick Gold, among others.
• Honoured graduate in Mining Engineering from the University of Oviedo with advanced modelling training.
• Conducted Leapfrog Geo training for top mining companies across the EMEA region since 2022.
• English Advanced Certificate, proficient in German, Portuguese, French, and Russian.

• Importing drilling data and creating a topography
• Building a Geological Model and its dynamic update
• Weathering Models and combined models
• Numerical Modelling
• Drillhole planning
• Creating a Geological Model using GIS and Structural Data
• Cross sections, presentations and sharing tools

Learning outcomes: 

• Understanding the key modelling workflows useful in Leapfrog.
• Integrating data into the software and utilizing the various tools to correct errors.
• Being aware of the different tools offered by Leapfrog for geological modelling and the particularities of each one.
• Being able to work with numerical and categorical data to create geological models.
• Obtain final models and graphical outputs useful for filling in technical documentation.
