CoR workshop: The role of the SDGs in the crisis recovery
21st October 2020 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
While the world needs to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic and the climate urgency remains, the achievement of the SDGs stays all the more topical. SDGs and recovery are linked; the current global health crisis reveals systemic interlinkages between all dimensions of sustainable development.
The United Nations and other international organisations such as the OECD recognise the importance of the SDGs in the recovery. Cities and regions themselves continue to implement the SDGs at regional and local level to fight the negative effects of COVID-19 and the lockdown.
This event will show how cities and regions implement SDGs in a post-pandemic Europe and beyond, and call the EU not to delay their implementation.
