CCS in the Circular Carbon Economy: Policy and Regulatory Proposals

29th July 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is essential to achieving net-zero ambitions and mitigating climate change. The total installed CCS capacity must increase 100-fold by 2050 to limit global warming to 2° Celsius above pre-industrial times, according to the International Energy Agency Sustainable Development Scenario.

Join us for an interactive webinar on the 29th of July as Ian Havercroft, Dominic Rassool, Alex Zapantis and Dr. Julio Friedmann present a report on the policy and legal factors that impact the investability of CCS projects. Part of the Circular Carbon Economy: Keystone to Global Sustainability series with Columbia University’s SIPA Center on Global Energy Policy, the report makes high level recommendations on how governments can facilitate greater private sector investment in CCS.
