7th Geology for Global Development Annual Conference

EFG is partnering with the 7th Geology for Global Development Annual Conference which will take place on Friday 15 November 2019 at the Geological Society of London (Burlington House, London, UK). The topic is “SDG 3 – Health and Wellbeing” with themes including climate change impacts on mental health, groundwater in emergency contexts, mining and health, citizen science and geochemistry, and volcanic health hazards.
The meeting will include a student presentation competition (with themes including asbestos minerals, fluoride in groundwater, minerals used in medical technologies, environmental links to cancer, and geology to improve mental health). There will also be an opportunity to learn more about GfGD activities and network with others passionate about geoscience and sustainable development.
