The EFG Board is meeting in Brussels from 5 to 7 February 2025. During this time, the Board will engage with Members of the European Parliament and European Commission officials to discuss the vital role of geologists in addressing Europe’s key challenges: climate change, sustainable resource management, and economic growth.
As part of these discussions, EFG Board Members will present their statement and recommendations on the EU Competitiveness Compass to EU politicians and officials. Published by the European Commission last week, the Competitiveness Compass outlines a roadmap for Europe to lead in the development, manufacturing, and market deployment of future technologies, services, and clean products, while striving to be the first climate-neutral continent.
EFG and its National Associations are committed to working with European institutions to ensure the timely and effective implementation of European policies at the national level, driving a secure, sustainable, and prosperous future for all Europeans and the global community.
