EFG Office welcomes two new Project Officers

 

The EFG Office in Brussels is glad to welcome two new Project Officers, Domenico Marchese and Alberto Sánchez Miravalles. They will be managing EFG’s tasks within the Horizon 2020 funded projects the Federation is involved in. 

Alberto Sánchez is a geologist with 4 years of professional experience. After completing a MSc in Oil & Gas Engineering, he has been working for the national Natural Gas company of Spain and in a consultancy. Recently he has also worked as a project manager for a Saudi consultancy. Alberto is now involved in the UNEXMIN and the INTERMIN project.

Domenico Marchese has completed a PhD in Hydrogeophysics, a M.Sc. in Engineering Geology, and a M.Sc. in Earth Science. He has gathered broad professional experiences as a consultant and in the management of EU funded projects, especially abroad, on behalf of Italian public administrations. Domenico is in charge of the INFACTCHPM2030 and MINLAND projects. 

Both of them are working at GeoHub, the shared office of EFG, La Palma Research Centre and the International Raw Materials Observatory which is a meeting point for geoscientists in Europe just a few steps from the European Parliament.
