CRIRSCO virtual meeting

 

The first virtual meeting of CRIRSCO, the Committee for Mineral Reserves International Reporting Standards, took place from 14-19 September. The virtual platform allowed the meeting to include additional delegates from the National Reporting Organisations (NROs).

CRIRSCO is a grouping of representatives of organisations that are responsible for developing mineral reporting codes and guidelines in Australasia (JORC), Brazil (CBRR), Canada (CIM), Chile (National Committee), Colombia (CCRR), Europe (PERC), India (NACRI), Indonesia (KOMBERS _ KCMI), Kazakhstan (KAZRC), Mongolia (MPIGM), Russia (NAEN), South Africa (SAMREC), Turkey (UMREK) and the USA (SME).

The aim of CRIRSCO is to contribute to earning and maintaining trust of investors and other stakeholders by promoting high standards of reporting of mineral deposit estimates (Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves) and of exploration progress (Exploration Results).

EFG Treasurer Ruth Allington who represents the Federation on the Pan European Reserves and Resources Committee (PERC) attended the virtual meeting and delivered a presentation on Environmental and Social Governance (ESG).
