What is that special thing that makes someone become a Geologist? It is that initial spark, the birth of a passion that oftentimes happens as soon as a child starts playing with dirt and rocks. But what is it that makes someone become a Great Geologist, one that is going to impact its field, and beyond, the entire Society? That is the desire to continuously develop and learn!

The concept of Continuing Professional Development is very close to EFG’s heart, and one of its essential missions. Among the many actions taken to push European Geologists to continue bettering themselves, EFG offers a free service, the training course endorsement programme, which benefits both course providers and EurGeol title holders. Course providers, on one hand, have the opportunity to gain recognition and visibility inside of EFG’s large family of European Geologists. European Geologist title holders, on the other hand, are made aware of valuable training opportunities and are provided with a discount.
