The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) and the Pan‐European Reserves & Resources Reporting Committee (PERC) are glad to invite you to the conference “MIN WIN‐WIN: ESTABLISHING EUROPE‐WIDE MINERALS RESOURCES AND RESERVES REPORTING STANDARDS – THE KEY TO REDUCING RISK AND INCREASING INVESTORS’ CONFIDENCE?” that will be held on 20 and 21 November in Brussels.

This conference aims to promote the adoption of a common reporting standard for minerals in the EU and will thus provide a unique opportunity to learn about and discuss concrete steps regarding mineral reporting in a cross‐disciplinary environment, including EU policy makers, national government officials, academics, minerals company executives, finance and industry experts.

The programme will cover the following broad themes in 6 sessions:
1. Introduction to the RMI and progress so far.
2. Minerals supply chains and variability of information sources, public data and reporting requirements across the EU.
3. National economic policies, governance structures and the EU minerals knowledge database.
4. Stock exchanges, commodity markets, and financial systems, and their need for reliable and consistent minerals data.
5. The PERC reporting standard, CRIRSCO, and the UNFC classification.
6. “Best Practice”, ethics and the role of skilled geoscientists.

The conference will include a social dinner on Thursday evening, and a one‐day PERC training course in minerals reporting using PERC standard (Wednesday, 19th November) is to be offered in conjunction with the conference.
