EFG participated in the consultation for the development of a new BSc in Earth Sciences for Sustainable Development (ESSD) at the University of Trieste. This undergraduate programme will train geoscientists with a strong focus on georesources and geohazards, within the framework of the UN 2030 Agenda. At EFG, we are pleased to have supported the development of this new course, now approved by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. Degree start date: September 2025.
EFG also supported the University of Turin, in collaboration with nine other Italian universities and research institutions as well as the Italian National Council of Geologists (CNG), to launch the Master’s program ‘Analysis, Identification and Evaluation of Mineral Deposits’. Taught in English, the program will train professionals for the entire mineral resources supply chain, from identifying economically viable areas to assessing extraction feasibility and producing critical and strategic raw materials at both national and international levels. Degree start date: January 2026.
Contributing to the development of university degree programs in geosciences aligns with the EFG strategy, as training the next generation of geoscience professionals is essential to meet the sector’s growing workforce needs.
