There are moments in a Federation’s work when you can feel they will count already while they are happening. CHPM2030’s 4th consortium meeting last week is definitively one of those few precious moments.

EFG had indeed the pleasure, and honor, to co-host along with VITO and the Katholic University of Leuven (KUL), the 4th CHPM2030 Consortium Meeting, the 2nd Advisory Board Workshop and the 1st European Commission Review Meeting of this ambitious project that aims at converting ultra-deep metallic mineral formations into an orebody-EGS  (Enhanced Geothermal System) in order to satisfy European needs for energy and strategic metals in a single interlinked process.

From 11th to 14th September 2017, the project partners, the experts from the Advisory Board, as well as representatives from the European Commission, gathered in Brussels to evaluate the work done so far and plan the future of this groundbreaking project. The outcomes, all very positive, are now available in CHPM2030’s official Press Release, and more details about the project are available on the website.
