During the last semester, work under KINDRA (GA 642047) was focussing on setting up a tool for inventorying information sources regarding Hydrogeological Research Knowledge and Innovation. The KINDRA European Inventory on Groundwater Research (EIGR) is a result of Task 1.4 “EIGR Programming” carried out under WP1 – Methodology framework development. It follows the principles defined earlier by the Harmonised Terminology and Methodology for classification and reporting hydrogeology related research in Europe (D1.2 HRC-SYS), for which this project Online Data Catalogue will represent the core pillar. During 2016, the National Experts identified by the European Federation of Geologists (EFG), will cooperate with KINDRA by populating the inventory with related and relevant contents and resources. From the work carried out, additional tools will be developed in order to properly exploit the information uploaded into the EIGR so as to support KINDRA in identifying TRENDS and/or GAPS in Groundwater Research.
