The Project Consortium has a pleasure of inviting you to attend the launch of the ‘Towards a World Forum on Raw Materials (FORAM)’ project on Tuesday 29 November 2016, from 17:00 to 18:30, during the 1st edition of the Raw Materials Week (28 November – 2 December) in Brussels.  The event will be held at the Leopold OREGA, Brussels, Rue du Commerce 123 and is followed by a cocktail reception.

FORAM is setting up an EU-based platform of international experts and stakeholders that will create the basis to establish a World Forum on Raw Materials (WFRM). FORAM already involves key organisations from all G20 members countries(1) and other countries active in mining and in other raw materials sectors.

The FORAM project, is coordinated by the World Resources Forum Association (WRFA) and supported by eleven additional leading organizations (EuroGeoSurveys, European Federation of Geologists, United Nations University, Leiden University, University Kassel, Clausthal University of Technology, ESM/Matsearch, Gondwana Empreendimentos e Consultorias, Servicio Geológico Colombiano, MinPol GmbH and La Palma Research Centre for Future Studies SL), which compose the FORAM consortium. In addition, more than twenty organisations are involved in the Advisory Board and twelve organizations as Linked Third Parties. These will over the next two years work closely together to enhance international cooperation and increase understanding of all aspects of raw materials investment and trade.

Comments, opinions and suggestions by a wider audience will be collected during the whole project’s duration.
