Conference on the future of the LIFE Programme
The European Commission is organising a conference on the future of the LIFE Programme, covering the 2021-2027 funding period to discuss the key challenges where LIFE can help make a difference. The main objectives of the programme have been provisionally agreed in the next Regulation, and the task now is to prepare its implementation. The conference is dedicated to monitoring of natural hazards, which include both geological hazards, and study the geological factors that can lead to environmental disasters. Urgency of the issue is clearly illustrated by recent natural disasters such as the devastating earthquakes in Japan, Iran, Indonesia, landslides; flooding; and karst processes in Ukraine, as well as other countries.

The fourth edition of the EU "Raw Materials Week" will take place from Monday 18 to Friday 22 November 2019, in Brussels.
