SUMMARY:RawMatCop Academy advanced course
DESCRIPTION:Learn how to effectively use satellite imagery to tackle complex challenges in the raw materials industry. Gain the expertise to excel in this exciting and rapidly evolving domain! \nEarth Observation provides innovation potential in the raw materials sector. RawMatCop Alliance offers an advanced course with hands-on learning to demonstrate the ability of Copernicus to provide efficient solutions while complying with environmental regulations. Advanced approaches highlighting scalability\, accuracy assessment\, and time-series of imagery are offered in the course. \nThe 3 days in-person course is particularly beneficial for professionals with a preliminary background in the raw materials value chain and in Earth Observation. \nThe course has been developed by the RawMatCop Alliance partners\, with financial support from the EIT RawMaterials. \nRawMatCop Alliance aims to transform the advanced scientific knowledge integrated with the industrial expertise to support the whole mining life-cycle needs and requirements. This course offers a unique blend of expert lectures from both industrial and research communities\, as well as hands-on case studies. Participants will develop skills in efficiently managing large datasets\, with a particular emphasis on Copernicus data\, and will gain expertise in fusing various datasets to achieve cost-effective and environmentally compliant outcomes. \nThe course will take place in-person at the University of Liège\, Belgium. Participants will have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a comprehensive and advanced learning schedule focused on promoting a safe and sustainable supply of mineral resources. In addition\, attendees will have the chance to meet other participants in-person\, network\, and foster new ideas and potential collaborations. \nDeadline for Application and Fees\nRegular fee: \n\n850 EUR – regular\n650 EUR – EIT RawMaterials partners and European Geologists (EFG members)\, start-ups\n300 EUR – Students from EIT RawMaterials partner universities\, employees of publicly funded organisations from the EIT RIS countries and regions\n\nParticipants in the “Introduction to Copernicus Data for Raw Materials” course will be eligible for a 10% discount.\nAll fees are inclusive of VAT. \n.

SUMMARY:Remtech Expo
DESCRIPTION:RemTech Expo is the only international and permanent Environmental Technology Hub\, specialized in the topics of restoration\, regeneration and sustainable development of territories. \nIt consists of ten segments – REMTECH and REMTECH EUROPE remediation of contaminated sites\, COAST coastal protection\, ports\, sustainability\, ESONDA hydrogeological instability\, floods\, landslides\, CLIMETECH climate change\, mitigation\, adaptation\, GEOSISM seismic risk\, prevention\, reconstruction\, INERTIA works sustainable materials\, circular economy\, RIGENERACITY urban regeneration\, CHEMTECH innovative and sustainable chemical industry and FIRE prevention-innovation-research\, fire prevention and safety of the Italian Cultural Heritage – and a special HUTTE segment dedicated to the themes of sustainability and integral well-being. \nIt is characterized by a qualified and broad community\, made up of government entities\, public bodies\, supervisory bodies\, private companies\, innovative start-ups\, universities\, research centers\, trade associations\, professionals. The community operates 365 days a year both in digital mode\, through an innovative intelligent platform specially created “meeters”\, and in presence during events\, technical\, technological and scientific conference sessions\, workshops\, seminars\, discussion tables\, permanent working groups\, training courses for operators\, authorities and decision makers\, international collegial and bilateral meetings\, intense networking activity\, workshops for schools\, pilot tests. \nThe agenda is rich and detailed and aims at maximum knowledge sharing and the application of the most innovative technologies as well as the exchange between supply and demand. The strengths that make RemTech Expo a true innovative hub are precisely the ability to combine the exhibition of ideas\, products\, projects and solutions with moments dedicated to in-depth analysis\, exchange and cultured and constructive meetings. \nEvery year the RemTech Expo community meets in Ferrara for an important plenary synthesis event with the aim of evaluating every possible action aimed at strengthening the pillars of knowledge to support the country.
