SUMMARY:5th IPGC Course: Revolutionising Geotechnical Assessment - Data Optimisation with Leapfrog Geo
DESCRIPTION:5th IPGC Course – Revolutionising Geotechnical Assessment: Data Optimisation with Leapfrog Geo\nDate: November 6\, 2025\nOrganised by Seequent \nWhat will we present?\nGeotechnical characterisation is essential in mining and infrastructure to assess stability and risks. In this workshop\, we will show how to work with geotechnical data in Leapfrog Geo\, from importing and analysing geomechanical information to generating geotechnical domain models. \nWhy attend?\nParticipants will understand how to use Leapfrog Geo to build geotechnical models and improve decision-making in minin and engineering projects. \nRegistration fee: €50 for IPGC 2025 participants. Limited spots available.

SUMMARY:Geofluid - drilling and Foundation Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:In 2023\, GEOFLUID celebrates 45 years of activity\, forty-five years alongside the companies and industry operators as a showcase of technological evolution and of the reference market. \nIn recent years\, the event has been steadily and gradually growing as for the exhibition offer\, with a high degree of professional qualification and internationality\, without departing from its core mission of high specialization in the area of drilling and underground works. \nThese sectors include exploration and exploitation of underground fluids\, special foundations and soil consolidation\, geological\, geophysical and geotechnical investigation. \nGeofluid today is the result of a path involving contractors\, associations\, university and research institutes\, and the strong appeal of the show towards operators confirms a well-established leadership in the reference market (not only Italian and European).\nGeofluid has become the not-to-miss trade fair for businesses and industry visitors. The 2023 edition will include further development elements to continue sharing the business of large\, medium and small businesses projected on international markets.

SUMMARY:MedGU Annual Meeting
DESCRIPTION:MedGU-22 WILL GO AHEAD IN-PERSON & ONLINE THIS NOVEMBER IN MARRAKECH.\nAfter the remarkable successes of the 1st CAJG\, 2nd CAJG and 3rd CAJG\, it became obvious that there was a need to create a larger and more comprehensive international geoscience conference\, one that would bring together even more participants from all over the world and cover a wide range of topics from all the disciplines of the Earth and planetary sciences. \nWith this objective in mind and as a continuation of the overwhelming success of MedGU-21\, the MedGU-22 will continue to be organized under the auspices of Springer and to provide a forum where scientists from the Mediterranean region and all over the world\, especially researchers at the early stages of their careers\, can be informed about the latest geosciences studies and discuss their latest unpublished findings with experts from the wide-ranging fields of Earth sciences. \nDuring this MedGU-22\, a number of prominent speakers will also be invited to give keynotes. Moreover\, we are planning workshops\, courses\, a social program and field trips\, where participants can take a little time out to explore the wonders of the geological sites of Morocco. \nMore information about the conference venue will be announced soon (see MedGU’s website). \n

SUMMARY:GeoERA Concluding Conference & 125th Anniversary of the Geological Survey of Belgium
DESCRIPTION:GSB 125th Anniversary \nThe Geological Survey of Belgium\, now part of the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences\, was established in December of 1896. Throughout that long history it has persistently been building expertise\, preserving knowledge\, and above all serving society. This was the stable foundation for what has proven to be a highly dynamic mission. In the early days\, our geologists were exploring the country to fill the ever growing needs of the largest of the mainland economies. Today\, 125 years later\, society has come full circle. Challenged by the consequences of our industrial history\, our geologists are now working on sustainable solutions. A story of how needs change\, while geology remains key. \nTime to celebrate\, proudly look back\, and confidently glance forward. We welcome you on the 18th of January. \nGeoERA Concluding Conference \nOn Wednesday 19th January\, we will be marking the end of the GeoERA project.  The GeoERA ERA-Net on “Establishing the European Geological Surveys Research Area to deliver a Geological Service for Europe” was established in 2017\, bringing together 47 national and regional Geological Survey Organisations from 32 European countries to collaborate in a joint geoscientific research programme\, the first of its kind in Europe. For more information on GeoERA\, please visit the GeoERA website. \nWith the projects now publishing their final results\, a Concluding Conference will be held to showcase the achievements and discuss the impacts this degree of pan-European collaboration by national scientific institutes can have on political\, scientific and social levels\, and how geoscientific knowledge and data can contribute towards the goals of the European Green Deal. \nThis event will hear from EU and national representatives on the importance of geoscientific knowledge\, data and information to policy and decision-making processes. Given that geology has no borders\, we will also discuss the needs for and potential role of a future Geological Service for Europe with a panel of distinguished speakers. This will be followed by a Tour of the Museum of Natural Sciences with dedicated exhibitions that will showcase the achievements and products of all GeoERA Projects’ results. \nTo book your place on these events\, please fill in the form. \nDining with Dinosaurs \nIn honour of the 125th Anniversary of the Geological Survey of Belgium and to mark the occasion of GeoERA’s conclusion\, an evening dinner will be held within the Dinosaur Gallery of the Museum of Natural Sciences. The opportunity to attend this prestigious event is open to all interested parties and will provide the opportunity to network with high-level attendees in the impressive surroundings of the Museum (attendees to include EU policy-makers\, Directors of European Geological Surveys\, leading experts in Earth science topics and key stakeholders from industry\, academia and international institutions such as the UN).  The cost for attending the dinner will be €85\, please register your intention to attend.

SUMMARY:6th Annual Innovation in Tunnels: Construction\, Maintenance\, Safety & Fire Protection
DESCRIPTION:With over 55 live tenders for construction/development of new tunnels in just Spain\, Switzerland\, Italy and Belgium at the time of writing this\, it is safe to say that tunnel construction/ development is growing at a very fast rate.  Our last 3 Annuals on Tunnels were based around Fire and Safety\, our 4th had a slight twist where we touched on the maintenance as well as the safety aspect of tunnels as the title suggests. The 5th Annual was in Chamonix and we had two technical tours of one of the most famous tunnels in the world – The Mont Blanc Tunnel and the other of a partially built tunnel by Telt. \nEnigmaCG’s 6th Annual Webinar on Innovation in Tunnels: Construction\, Maintenance\, Safety & Fire Protection touches on all aspects of a tunnel. Innovation and the emerging of new technologies that go along with a tunnel will always be highly sought after to ensure that not just newly developed but also existing tunnels adhere to these best practices.
