SUMMARY:POLITICO Sustainable Future Summit
DESCRIPTION:The EU is betting on its ability to become greener and more sustainable. To slash its emissions by at least 55% over the next ten years\, the bloc is making full use of its Green Deal toolbox. From the Fit for 55 package to the taxonomy definition and the CO2 border tax proposal\, the old continent is pushing its way through\, targeting all sectors. But will this be enough for Europe to be a global leader in sustainability? \nNot only must Europe keep its environmental footprint in check\, it also has to support companies and citizens economically as they emerge from the pandemic. Meanwhile\, the EU is also pushing for a digital transition\, which comes with its share of opportunities and setbacks in mitigating climate change. \n\n\nPOLITICO Live is bringing back the Sustainable Future Summit for a third edition on November 30-December 1 in Brussels and online. Taking place right after COP26 and just six months after the release of the EU Fit for 55 package\, this event represents a unique opportunity to assess the contribution that each sector can bring to the table to meet the new target emissions reduction.

SUMMARY:Strategies toward Green Deal Implementation Water\, Raw Materials & Energy
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the International Conference on Strategies toward Green Deal Implementation – Water\, Raw Materials & Energy (ICGreenDeal2021) is to present the issue of climate change and ways to prevent it eg. innovative solutions (technological\, environmental\, economic\, and social) that can be implemented under the Green Deal Strategies. \nWe invite you to submit papers in the field of Environmental Management\, Environmental Protection and Environmental Engineering\, which deal with the issues management of water\, raw materials and energy. Abstracts can be submitted until November 24\, 2021. \nPoster and oral presentations will be included to the Conference Program. The submitted abstracts of the papers (in English or Polish) will be included in the Conference proceedings\, and the full texts of the paper may be published in Desalination and Water Treatment (DWT) [100 points of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education]\, Sustainable Production and Consumption [70 points of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education]\, Sustainability [70 points of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education]\, Monograph “Strategies toward Green Deal” [20 points of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education]\, Frontiers in Sustainability [5 points of the Polish Ministry of Sciences and Higher Education]. \nParticipation in the Conference is free of charge.
