SUMMARY:9th Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) General Assembly
DESCRIPTION:The 9th Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) General Assembly will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 in Budapest\, Hungary. Organised by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts in collaboration with HungaroMet Hungarian Meteorological Service\, this flagship annual event brings together researchers\, data providers\, service users\, EU institutions and partner organisations to reflect on the current state of European climate services and shape their future direction. \nThis year’s programme is structured around three thematic areas: authoritative climate knowledge\, including reanalyses\, monitoring and projections; enabling access to climate data through tools\, training and user workflows; and translating climate information into real-world decision-making and policy impact. The event will feature plenary presentations\, poster sessions\, breakout discussions and side meetings\, alongside a networking dinner on 4 June. \nRegistration is free of charge and open to all participants. Priority for on-site attendance will be given to C3S service providers and users\, with the deadline for on-site registration set for 25 May 2026. Participants interested in presenting a poster on-site are invited to express their interest by 6 April 2026. \nThe European Federation of Geologists will be represented at the event by Tamas Miklovicz\, Academy Manager and Project Officer.

SUMMARY:GEODAYS 2026
DESCRIPTION:GeoDays is an international business convention dedicated to the subsurface industries\, bringing together operators\, researchers\, innovators\, startups\, and policymakers to exchange\, connect\, and advance projects at the intersection of geosciences and the energy transition. Now in its 2026 edition\, the event has established itself as a key meeting point for professionals across the full spectrum of subsurface sectors\, from geothermal energy and geological storage to mining\, hydrogen\, and beyond. \nThe 2026 edition takes place on 16 and 17 June at the Palais Beaumont in Pau\, France\, a city with deep historical roots in geosciences and drilling. The programme combines a business convention with targeted B2B meetings\, thematic conferences and roundtables\, and dedicated sessions on topics including the Euro-Mediterranean and Quebec energy transitions and the role of the subsurface in territorial planning. \nThis year’s event holds particular significance for the geosciences community\, as GeoDays 2026 opens a full week of geosciences activity in Pau\, continuing with the EFG Annual Congress later that week. \nAs an EFG member\, you can benefit from an exclusive 50% discount on the regular registration price.
