#EFGinclusion Campaign:
The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Women in Mining and Industry Spain (WIM Spain) in 2025.
WIM Spain works to promote women’s participation and leadership in mining and industry, fostering equality, professional growth, and collaboration across the sector. Through the MoU, both organisations affirm their commitment to gender equality in geosciences. The partnership will boost visibility for women geoscientists and support a more diverse, resilient scientific community.
EFG President David Govoni highlighted the importance of empowering women to address global challenges, while WIM Spain President Mónica Muñoz Monge stressed the vital role of women in tackling today’s complex issues.
