20th Congress of Hungarian Geomathematicians and 9th Congress of Croatian and Hungarian Geomathematicians – Geomathematics in multidisciplinary science – The new frontier?

The conference is organized by the Hungarian Geological Society, co-organized by the Geomathematics and Informatics Section and the South Transdanubian Regional Branch of HGC, the Croatian Geological Society, the Hungarian Academy of Sciences Committee of Geology and Mining, the Cluster of Applied Earth Sciences and the Enterprise Europe Network Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pécs-Baranya.

Planned sections/topics of the congress:
 Processing of monitoring time series
 Geomathematical aspects of reservoir geology
 Interpretation and uncertainty of geophysical data series and data blocks
 Problems of large geological data bases (queries, role of metadata, reliability etc.)
 Water quality management
 Mathematical aspects of metallic and nonmetallic raw material research
 Climate modelling – past and future
 Evaluation of havaria events
 System theory
 Conquest of the space – geologists of the future and the role of automation
 Possible ways of analysis in case of small sample size and their use in geology
 Geological aspects of fractals, the application of the fractal theory
 History of science, education
 Data analysis in engineering geology
 Geoinformatics

We expect the participation of professionals who deal with these topics and work in related fields, and who would like to present their domestic and international achievements in lectures and/or posters or just participate as audience.
The official language of the Congress is English.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 10 April 2017.
